Benefits of using the Education Appliance

1. Significantly simplifies the school ICT infrastructure

The Education Appliance eA500/eA1000 often works in conjunction with the Education Appliance eA60/eA100 and student laptops (or similar devices). By deferring some of the functionality – especially those that makes sense on the School-wide basis (such as administering school wide policies etc) to the eA500/eA1000, the eA60/eA100 and the student devices can be relegated to focusing on delivering a local 1:1 learning experience.

2. Broadest feature set

There is no comparable product to the Education Appliance, and the breadth of functionality that it makes available is simply not available on a single platform.

3. Scalability and flexibility

The Education Appliance can scale from a very few (less than 10) to up to 1000 students – which can support most School configurations. This is done without any changes to the platform and by simply (and remotely) adding the user/student licenses.

The Education Appliance can also be customized to support individual requirements. There is no requirement to use all the functionality on the platform (i.e. functionality can be selectively used), and further more, third party applications can be integrated on the platform as well.

4. Proven

The Education Appliance has been deployed quite extensively; in fact, it was recently deployed in one of the largest school modernization programs in the world. The platform has also won several industry awards recognizing its market leadership.
