1. Significantly enhances the 1:1 educational experience
The Education Appliance often works in conjunction with student laptops (or similar devices). The student devices are often low cost, and low functionality devices with limited hardware/software support. Having these resources on the Education Appliance enables an optimal (low cost, high functionality) solution and ultimately, a better learning experience.
2. Improved economics for mass deployment
An extension of the benefit note above - enhancing the learning experience, is the fact that now expensive resources are only required on the Education Appliance instead of each student device; this makes the solution significantly inexpensive – optimized in fact, which is a pre-requisite for making mass deployment feasible.
3. Broadest feature set
There is no comparable product to the Education Appliance, and the breadth of functionality that it makes available is simply not available on a single platform.
4. Scalability and flexibility
The eA100 can scale from a very few (less than 10) to up to 100 students – which can support most classroom configurations. This is done without any changes to the platform and by simply (and remotely) adding the user/student licenses.
The Education Appliance can also be customized to support individual requirements. There is no requirement to use all the functionality on the platform (i.e. functionality can be selectively used), and further more, third party applications can be integrated on the platform as well.
